Our functional medicine-based weight loss and hormone optimization clinic is growing and in need of additional, experienced registered or certified medical assistants to join the team!
Position: Medical Assistant
Location: Henderson (N Green Valley Pkwy & Sunset)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm (30 minute lunch) OR 7am - 4pm (1 hour lunch)
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and documenting medical histories.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing electronic health records (EHR).
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform bedside EKGs
- Start IV Sites (willing to train)
- Conduct basic laboratory tests such as blood draws, urine analysis, and point-of-care testing.
- Provide patient education on topics such as medication instructions, dietary guidelines, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
Requirements:
- Certified or registered medical assistant with a valid certification or licensure.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a similar specialty such as functional medicine, weight loss, or hormone optimization.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, basic clinical procedures, and computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact compassionately and professionally with patients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and clinical protocols.
